Produced in France during the 1970s, this pair of architectural table lamps draws on the geometric language of Bauhaus and Art Deco modernism associated with Marcel Breuer. Their tubular structure and curved cylindrical shades reflect the architectural approach to lighting that emerged around the 1925 Paris Exposition Internationale des Arts Décoratifs et Industriels Modernes.
Constructed entirely from nickel-plated bronze, the lamps combine strong vertical lines with restrained industrial detailing, creating a composition built on symmetry, proportion, and clarity of form. The reflective metal surface further emphasises the architectural character of the design. Engraved on the body and stamped beneath the base, the pair remains particularly well preserved.
